RPM sought stellar standouts at MSU Supply Chain Career Fair

A slight hum consumed the concourse as students poured into the home of Spartan Basketball.

More than 1,100 students walked the large hallway of the Breslin Student Events Center eager to start conversations with some of the nation’s most sought after companies.

The Michigan State University Supply Chain Management Career Fair took place Thursday, January 25th and RPM proudly stood among 130 other companies seeking top talent from a very competitive group of Michigan State University Supply Chain Management students.

Hiring across all facets of the business, including sales, operations, tracking and accounting, the RPM team looked for knowledgeable and enthusiastic candidates that embrace an entrepreneurial spirit.

Tom Reid, Director of Enterprise Accounts, and Cassandra Rose, Talent Acquisition Specialist, spent time with each candidate discussing the industry, professional interests, career goals and big dreams.

There was no shortage of big dreams in the big stadium that day. Students and job-seekers traveled near and far to attend the much-anticipated MSU Supply Chain Association event.

Opportunities for second day interviews at MSU and in-person interviews at the RPM Headquarters, located in Royal Oak, Mich. were scheduled with Cassandra and the RPM Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Slone.

“This was my first year recruiting at an MSU sponsored event and I am happy to say I was very impressed with the quality of personas,” said Cassandra. “Everyone who was in attendance was very well dressed, extremely professional, and knowledgeable, not only about the industry, but about our company. The event was a huge success and win for RPM. We look forward to meeting and recruiting more candidates from other SCMA events in the future.”

The career fair took place Thursday, January 25 from 2-6 p.m., and interviews followed Friday, January 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  RPM met 60+ students and non-students alike, and scheduled nearly 20 interviews.
